15 minutes walk from city centre

Large public park beside the river. Lots of places to sit in the sun or in the shade. Many footpaths leading into and through the park. Some of the old town walls are in the park too.

Good to make a walk when sun Cold without sun Nice view from river Mire or less kept by the mairie... But they can improve More seats? More shade for summer? Clean the dark water?

NICE PLACE TO GO WITH THE KIDS

Nice place, not that far from the center, close to the hotel Ibis, there is a play ground and also a small resto - basics, bu ok

Great for leisure

You can cycle or wander and just enjoy nature in Besançon, enjoy the nearby Doubs river, chat to the locals, sit on a bench and read a book or just dream!

Beautiful and well-maintained

There are many events held here throughout the year, but it is equally pleasant to stroll through, sit and read or stop to eat on the grass or by the Doubs...a lovely amenity, green and clean :)
