St. George Marjorie Church was founded in the mid-16th century and completed in 1610. Collint-style columns form the magnificent appearance of the church. There are many works of Tindoleto in the church, such as "Mana's Treasure", "Last Supper" and so on. From the elevator in the church to the top of the bell tower, you can see the beautiful scenery from Judica Island to the other side of St. Mark's Square. This church is the only building on St. George's Maggiore Island. Instead of landing on the island, we saw the church on board, a large building.
Visit Venice. It's a pity that the weather is not so good. It's cloudy all the time. It rains occasionally, which makes the trip to Venice like Vienna leave a little regret. In the morning, I bought a day's pass and went to town by boat. The planned route is to get off the boat and visit the church on St. George's Maggiore Island, opposite St. Mark's Square. There are few tourists on the island. The church was built in the 16th century and was also a masterpiece.
From Colour Island to St. Mark's Square, you can see two spires of St. George's Maggiore and St. Mark's churches from a distance, looking out at each other on the sea. The two bell towers are square spire bell towers built of red brick, which are very similar in appearance. Standing in the open space in front of St. Mark's Bell Tower, you can see clearly the spire of St. George's Macaulay Church.
Take a bus to San Giorgio Maggiore St. George's Maggiore Church, ready to go upstairs to see the sunset. It turned out to be very wise. There were fewer people climbing the tower than the Bell Tower in San Marco Square, and the scenery was good. Watching the sunset setting quietly, watching the sea water rise and fall quietly, sniffing the peculiar smell of sea water, sitting on the shore, ticking and ticking for any time.
Although not a popular attraction, the tranquility and sunset here are worth visiting.
St. George The opening and closing hours of churches on Majore Island may be a bit unstable. The view above the bell tower is very good. The ticket is five euros. Walking on the island and then climbing the Akadame Bridge, walking back to St. Mark's Square for about 20 minutes, some parts of the island can't receive tourists.
