The temple is dedicated to the God of Zhou Sa, so the French named it the temple of Zhou Sa. With the palace as the starting point, the main passageway is moving towards the east. There are two small temples of the same size on both sides of the road, which correspond to each other. To the south is the Temple of Zhou Sa. The Chinese team is responsible for the maintenance. After years of efforts, the Chinese team has made a great improvement in its situation. Opening Hours
Before I went to Cambodia, I checked all kinds of scenic spots carefully for fear of missing something wonderful. After I went to Cambodia, I found that there were many similar small temples in the area. The temple was repaired with Chinese assistance. The Chinese people were well-behaved, and many places were filled with new brick walls. When I looked at them, I might feel less historical authenticity.
The Temple of Zhou Sa is a Hindu temple in the east of Angkor. It belongs to the architectural style of Little Angkor. But it is much smaller than Little Angkor. The Temple of Zhou Sa is sitting in the West and facing the east. Its layout is very compact and delicate. There is an elevated tunnel on the axis of East and west, which is connected with the cross platform of the temple. It was also repaired with assistance from China. It lasted eight years, and the name of the unpaid investor was 14.5 million yuan. Under extremely difficult conditions, experts and staff of the Chinese Academy of Cultural Relics completed the renovation project by means of disintegration and overhaul. After eight years of unremitting efforts, the temple of Zhou Sa was rescued from the endangered state. Many stone carvings are exactly the same as the decorations of the original buildings, but there are some differences in color. Chinese tourists must go there to have a look. There are no tour groups in Zhousha Temple, basically self-help tours, and few tourists.
The Temple of Zhou Sa, adopted by the Great Heavenly Dynasty, has been completely restored. Although it is small enough to be seen at a glance, it is exquisite and has gained the essence of Angkor sculpture and architectural art. The Temple of Chousa in Cambodia was built in the early 12th century under the rule of Suyabama II. The Temple of Tomanon, 170 meters north of the temple, was built in the same period. Its architectural layout and structure are exactly the same. But it is not clear why these two buildings were built. Only in the late nineteenth century, when French military officer Diko in Cambodia discovered the building, he learned from the local population that the temple was dedicated to Chau Say, so the French named it Chau Say Tevoda. It is said that during the survey, we found that many temple fairs in Angkor Wat collapsed because the foundations were unstable and could not withstand the rainstorm, so they laid a solid foundation.
Chau Say Tevoda is located about 70 meters south of Shengli Gate in Tongwang City. The temple was built in the early 12th century under the rule of Sayawaman II. The Temple of Tomanon, 170 meters north of the temple, was built in the same period. Its architectural layout and structure are exactly the same. But it is not clear why these two buildings were built. The road from Chajiao Temple back to Angkor City will receive the Victory Gate. On the left hand side of the gate, there is a small monument. This is the Temple of Zhou Sa. The Temple of Zhou Sa was built around the beginning of the 12th century. It was mainly dedicated to Vishnu, a Hindu god. Chinese experts have repaired and restored the site before. In order to distinguish it from the relics, the stones and beams that were repaired during the repairing process were not decorated with any ornaments. The Temple of Zhou Sa is small in scale. But the environment is quite quiet. There is no crowd of large scenic spots here. It is a place suitable for thinking about ancient times.
The Temple of Zhou Sa, the long passage is "temple escapes" to create a prototype of a temple that can walk on the T stage. It is said that this is a historic site of Angkor, which is aided and protected by China. Mysterious Angkor Dynasty, exquisite sculpture art, post-war countries to be flourished.
The Temple of Zhou Sa is now unknown to the purpose of the construction at that time, adding a sense of mystery. It's quiet here. Stone doors are scattered everywhere, which makes it suitable for pose taking photos. It is worth mentioning that this temple is protected and restored by our government.
In 1992, UNESCO listed Angkor as an endangered world cultural heritage site. In 1993, the Cambodian Government and UNESCO launched the Angkor Relics Rescue Initiative to encourage countries around the world to help restore Angkor. Walking around Angkor, feeling the magic of Angkor itself, can also feel the new artistic conception given by different countries in the process of restoration. The Temple of Zhou Sa is the first temple that China helped to restore. More than 20 years ago, it was a ruin, and the raw materials were stone carvings that China was not good at, so the process of restoring it was very difficult. We saw at the scene that the temple was relatively complete and could swim freely. Of course, in addition to the advantages of high efficiency, the Chinese construction team seems to have exposed the shortcomings of the general low artistic appreciation ability of the Chinese people in the past decades.
