This bridge leading to Castel Sant'Angelo is a great approach to the castle as you can see it from afar and slowly getting near the site as you walk leisurely admiring the views. It's a good pictorial site. It has also one of the best views of dome of St. Peter's Basilica. It's a bit crowded though with so many tourists.
Strolling along the Tiber River, Fiume Trevere in Italian, over to the Vatican is completely worth it. The Ponte Sant'Angelo is a truly impressive bridge that's lined with gorgeous angel statues. We walked along the Tiber in the morning, hit the bridge and then wandered over to the Vatican afterwards and it made for a memorable moment.
the must beautifull bridge in roma, only walking bridge full of angels statues. they were commissioned by the Pope to Bernini. his students made all, he made only two of them, and the pope told they where too beauty to be under the rain, so he ordered to made some copy and bring the original in the church. all the statues where there to remember the via crucis
