Yuntai Mountain Geopark is located in Jiaozuo City, Henan Province. The mountains are full of dolostones, so it is place for scientists doing research for geography. With high forest coverage and different landforms, Yuntai Mountain is an ideal place to hike. I would like to record my two days tour: First Day, I took a bus to Quanpu Gorge, Tanpu Gorge and Rhesus Monkey Valley in the morning. In the afternoon, I went to Hongshi Gorge and Zifang Lake by bus. On the way, I also went to Wanshou Temple (a small temple). Second Day, in the morning, I took a bus to Zhuyu Peak, passed through the Diecai Cave (no stop), which was one of 14 caves that people dug in order turn around in the mountain. Zhuyu Peak is 1297.6 meters above sea level, with beautiful scenery, but the small path with steps in the mountain makes it too difficult to hike. Compare to Zhuyu Peak, the road in Phoenix Ridge scenic spot is relatively flat. In the afternoon, I took a bus to Baijia Cliff to get out of the scenic spot or Anshang service area. To sum up, Yuntai Mountain scenic spot is one of the best scenic spots I have ever seen. There's a chance to go back!! [Tips] There are a few villages set up for tourists to buy souvenirs and food. If you’re tight on time like we were, you can find food options at the entrance to Tanpu Gorge. Food isn’t the greatest but you can have your pick of buffet, family run restaurants, and a fast food restaurant Dicos.
