Xianghu Lake is situated on the right side of the mountain. The bridge across the lake at the narrow part of the mountain divides the lake into upper and lower lakes. The area of the lake is half the size of the West Lake. It forms a pattern of mountains holding water, water surrounding mountains, mountains turning around lakes, lakes walking by mountains, Tibetan lakes in the mountains, mountains in the lakes, mountains blending with rivers and lakes competing for glory. There are stories about Goujian, king of Wu, lying on salaries and tasting gallbladder on Xianghu Mountain. There are scenic spots such as Yuewangcheng Mountain, Guyue Pavilion and Yuewang Temple. A typical picture of the south of the Yangtze River is formed when a Xiangdi crosses the Xianghu Lake.
