Tianyou Peak is known as "the first peak of Wuyi" with a relative height of only 215 m, but the mountain is steep and standing on all sides. It took us 40 minutes to watch Tianyou Peak from "Tea Cave "to start counting steps, to climb to the top of the mountain", a total of 860 steps. Half-way up the hill "a glance pavilion" is an excellent Wuyi landscape viewing platform. From here, you can see the Wuyi mountains and waters from the fence, the peaks and seats, nine winding meanders. The origin of the name of Tianyou Peak is that when there is a sea of clouds, Tianyou Peak seems to be in a fairyland, roaming in the Qiongge of the Tiangong Palace, hence its name "Tianyou". After climbing to the top and descending from the back hill, the road is much smoother, and of course the scenery is much worse. There is a stone archway in Houshan "Zhongzheng Park" which Chiang Kai-shek chose as his backyard and was built by the National Government. Along the road, there are many cliff stone carvings of past dynasties. Walking down the hill, the "sunshine cloth rock" under the Tianyou Peak is straight up and down the huge rock wall, covered with traces of running water, like pieces of cloth falling down. There is also a "Wuyi Jingshe" under the mountain, where Zhu Xi founded his lecture at that time, and we can visit it together. Tianyou Peak and Jiuqu River are the essence of Wuyi Mountain and Water. Tianyou Peak has the steepness of Huashan Mountain and Jiuqu River has the beauty of Lijiang River in Guilin, which is a must for Wuyi Mountain tourism.
