After queuing for a cruise ticket, we waited at the cruise terminal for about ten minutes. Then we took a cruise ship to start our tour of the Thames River in London, which is one of the most exciting and concentrated sections. The 346-kilometer-long Thames River is Britain's Mother River, which flows through London and more than a dozen cities and towns along the river. At the Westminster Wharf where we board the ship, we can see the Westminster Church, the Parliament Building and Big Ben Bell. There are several bridges across the river in this section. They have different colors, shapes and functions. At the same time, this section of the Thames River is also a typical representative of central London, from the tall Big Ben to the modern buildings. As the cruise ship sailed eastward, we saw Harvard Bridge, Waterloo Bridge, London Eye, Shakespeare's Circle Theatre, St. Paul's Cathedral, South China Cathedral, London Bridge, Monument, Belfast Cruiser, Tower of London, London City Hall and Tower Bridge. It is well-known to say that this section is the best spot on both sides of the Thames River. This section of the river runs a variety of cruise boats. Tourists from all over the world feel the metropolis during the cruise boat voyage, which is different from the visual effect seen on the road. There are many bridges on the Thames River, each of which has its own characteristics in shape. The most spectacular and famous one is the Tower Bridge of London, which is also one of the landmarks of London, and one end of the bridge is the famous Tower of London. About 30 minutes of cruise ship journey was over, and we were still saying goodbye to the cruise ship at the Tower of London pier. Although the cruise ticket is valid for 24 hours, our tour time is extremely limited.
