The Daoist Museum of Art at the north end of Manhattan is a hidden treasure. A hilltop overlooks the Hudson River and Trenburg Park trees. The Monastery Museum of Art was built from the ruins of medieval castles and monasteries in Europe with stone by stone. Inside, there are walled gardens and spacious exhibition rooms that display some of the Metropolitan Museum's precious collections of medieval art in a magical setting. It's worth spending half a day exploring.
