Tanzhi Temple is named for a large number of stubble trees in front of the temple. The stubble tree, also known as yellow mulberry, is a small tree of Moraceae. It blooms in summer, and its roots, stems, leaves, barks and fruits can be used as medicine. The stubble tree is hard, fine-grained, and its branches are elastic. The ancients used it as the back of the bow. Generally, it grows in the south, but rarely in the north, so the trees in Tanzhi Temple are very precious. Ancient Tanzhi Temple was surrounded by mountains covered with Zhe trees. There are thousands of chapters about Zhe trees in Tanzhi Temple. Later legend has it that Tan bark can cure women's infertility and bark is stripped off. These trees are the only ones left with fruitful results. There are two pines in front of Tanzhi Temple, Panlong Pine and Wolong Pine. These two pines are not very tall, but they grow very luxuriantly horizontally. The branches are 15 meters long horizontally. Some of them are supported by standing trees.
