My favorite street in Edinburgh is Royal Mile. One reason why this street is called Royal Mile is that it is about a mile long. Another reason is that it connects two important palaces in Scottish history, Edinburgh Castle and Hollywood Palace. It is indeed "Royal Mile". Old streets with old houses are heartbreaking. Here is the starting point for exploring Edinburgh's history. The main street is not wide, unlike our usual street, the center is a terrace pavement, but the sidewalk is paved with green bricks. At first I thought it was similar to a pedestrian street. Later I learned that it was open to traffic, but not many. Walking from the westernmost Edinburgh Castle to the eastern Hollywood Palace, you will encounter many famous places in Edinburgh, such as Esplande, St. Giles Cathedral, Museum of Childhood, Lawnmarket, High Street, Canongate and so on, all over restaurants, bars, shops and hostels. During the day, tourists come and go, and street performers display their performances, and people are very busy. At night, the ghost tour comes on, wearing black cloaks and gentleman's caps, and guides stand in the corner of the Castle Square to attract customers. At night, they visit the underground city and haha. Maybe it's time for ghosts to be busy....
