Finally, we reached the Rizal Park Monument, which stands in the center of a wide green square, guarded by heroic guards. The remains of the hero Li Cha were buried under the cornerstone of the monument. It used to be a refugee camp, a prison yard, and the center of the U.S. government. Now it has become the past. Filipinos built it into a peaceful and beautiful leisure park, where they strolled and picnicked.
