Probably my favorite spot on the island. It's a lot less crowded then some of the other more popular valleys.

Wear real shoes! Stop to take pictures, don't continue to hike and then trip on something because you aren't looking. The hike isn't very long but it is very steep and can be a little rough. If you have knee/leg injuries or issues do not try this. Getting down is one thing but being able to get back up will be 3x harder.

Breathtaking views, beautiful valley and black-sand beach a short hike down. An absolute MUST while on Big Island.

Look out over the beautiful valley. You can see the black sand beach and the cliffs over looking the beach below.

Nice, steep trail leading down to the beach and the entrance to the valley. This is the end of the Highway 270 road.
