Municipal Square is a very small and insignificant place, but it is one of the most important squares in Madrid. In the center of the square stands the statue of King Philippe II's Marine General Bassan. The Luhanesta Tower on the east side of the square is the oldest civil building in Madrid. On the south side is the Cisnello House and on the west side is the Madrid City Hall built in the 17th century and in the Baroque style. The tile inlaid on the building opposite the square aroused our curiosity. Later, it was observed that many buildings in Madrid had similar tiles, similar to road signs. Its advantage is to be able to withstand the sun and rain, always bright and not fade.
