The family collection in the Paazzo Gallery has over 400 painting dating from the 15 to the 18th century, including the famous portrait of Pope Innocent X by Velazquez. there are alsoimportant works by Titian, Caravaggio, Lorenzo Lotto and Guercino. Many of the private apartments of the Palace with their original furnishings aare on display and open to the public.

I just happened to pass this building and thought it was one of the apartments till I saw the name in front of the door. The structure was old like always what you see in a historic building in Rome yet you will still be in awe once you are inside of it. You just want to keep on taking pics.

This art museum has some excellent works but is hard to find with a door not obvious on a busy streetat Via del Collegio Romano 2. It is open Friday to Wednesay, 10-5pm, with admission of €8. The paintings are hung high and low in no apparent order and with floor or room plans available -- just a sheet listing the works. The highlights include Bernini’s and Velazquez’s Innocent X, Titian’s Salome, Caravaggio’s Mary Magdelene, St John the Baptist, and Flight into Egypt.
