Niagara Falls State Park is the oldest state park in the United States. It was founded in 1885 as the Niagara Reserve and eventually became the New York State Park. Frederick Law Olmsted is the designer of Niagara Falls State Park. He also designed Central Park in New York City. Niagara Falls State Park stretches over 400 acres and has an area of about 140 acres.
