Along Victoria Avenue, across the village of Wuji, and soon to the National Library Building. An all-white building with super-long glass curtain wall is quite conspicuous. Although it is one of the largest and most advanced libraries in Southeast Asia, the National Library of Singapore does not have a "decent" gate. If there were no signs at the intersection, I would have thought I had entered a residential building. No front desk, no security checks, no certificates, just go in at will. The opening time of the library is 10:00-21:00 from Monday to Sunday. Compared with well-known libraries in China, the area is not large, but the height is successful. It consists of two 16-storey buildings, each of which has an overpass connection. The style of each reading room is different, the types of books and interior design are slightly different, but the floor is covered with blankets, very quiet. The windows by the roadside are all on the ground. You can have a good view of Singapore's streets. There are free lockers outside each reading room. Some need to deposit bags before entering, and some don't. There are many languages in the collection, Malay, Chinese, English, Tamil and so on. Some floors should be used for exhibitions and performances, with posters. The Central Public Library on the B1 floor is suitable for the public. Besides non-Chinese books, there are also a large number of Chinese newspapers, magazines and books. The number and types of Chinese books are quite abundant, including love stories, online novels, swordsman novels, tourism, cooking and other aspects. There's also a special collection area for children - "My Tree House', which is very interesting in the design of forest theme. There are many kinds of children's books in it. They are full of pictures and texts. They are suitable for young children. Next door to the library is the Baisheng Building, which is surrounded by Aqiu dessert, dining room, Xiyuan coffee and other delicacies.
