Very cool museum just north of Downtown Las Vegas. Great place to take the kids... fun yet educational.

Explore the museum’s interactive exhibits featuring animated dinosaurs, visit the gallery featuring Southern Nevada’s plant and animal life, check out the real sharks at the lively shark exhibit, see historic Egyptian artifacts and scope out the African Savanna gallery and exhibits. After you go sightseeing at the museum, make a stop at the gift shop to scoop up exhilarating keepsakes and ancient items. At the shop, expect to find toys, jewelry, books, clothing, science experiment kits, souvenirs and more.

This museum is located in front of Cashman Field. This is good place to learn about natural history of Clark County and the surrounding area. Disability Access is provided. You will need about 1 1/2 to 2 hours to visit.

It's Vegas, so it's not the best in the county, but my son loves this museum. It's one of his favorites, and for the small budget and resources they have to work with, it's pretty impressive. If you want a break from the Strip and looking for some quiet downtime with the kiddos, and re-ignite your brain cells, grab a cab and head down there.
