The Gallery has seven floors, including two floors underground. The modern facilities include exhibition hall, a library, education center and art studio, as well as a multi-functional video hall. It is an ideal place for holding art activities, film weeks and conferences, concerts, dances and theatrical performances. The exhibition hall can accommodate 400 visitors at the same time. During the first year of its opening, there were 1500 visitors a day, including long-term museum art exhibition areas and temporary special exhibitions. The collection covered works from the eighteenth century to the present, including works of social realism in the former Soviet Union (what Estonians call the "occupation period" and works of modern art that broke through the tradition. The occasional exhibitions are international, as well as local modern and contemporary art in Estonia.
