Xinyi Street, also known as the Italian Style Area, is located in Hebei District of Tianjin City, south of Haihe River. It is the only large-scale building complex outside Italy in the world. It began in 1902 and ended in 1943 when Italy surrendered. It was the Italian concession area in Tianjin, China at that time, and also the only Italian concession in China. Marco Polo Square is located at the intersection of two streets, with a 13.6-meter-high Collins stone pillar in the center and a goddess on the top. The base is surrounded by sculptures and water sprinklers. It is a typical Italian style building. It has become an important Italian style landscape. It retains the Mediterranean style more than 100 years ago. Many films and TV plays are filmed here.
