Panchi is a half-moon-shaped pool in front of Dachengmen, also known as Pangong, meaning Pangong Pool, which is the symbol of official learning. Ancient princes could not observe the four directions, so they lacked the knowledge of the Son of Heaven to the south of the east, so they were called Pangong. The single-hole arch bridge on Panchi is called Panqiao. In the imperial examination, Confucius was worshipped and the entrance ceremony was performed, which was called entrance ceremony. Because it was built in the early Republic of China, the imperial examination was abolished, so there is no ritual to be tested.
