I went to Maoer Mountain to watch the meteor shower. The Perseid meteor shower occurs every year from July 20 to August 20 and reaches its climax from August 11 to 12. Perseid meteor shower is one of the most famous meteor showers, because it is not only a large number of meteors, but also almost never absent in the summer sky. It is the most active and most frequently observed meteor shower. This year, August 11 is the first day of junior high school. Moonlight has the least influence. It is the most suitable for watching and shooting meteor showers. So I searched the map to see which mountain near Guangdong had the least pollution. I recalled that when I went to Xing'an County of Guilin City to see the autumn of Ginkgo biloba two years ago, the first peak in South China, Maoer Mountain, was highly recommended by the local people. Maoer Mountain is located in Zhongfeng Township of Resources County and Huajiang Yao Township of Xing'an County. Driving from Foshan, we can take the Erguang Expressway to Lianzhou and then turn to Xialong Expressway and Quannan Expressway, 590 kilometers, and then return to Guilin, so we don't need to take repetitive roads. The difference between the two roads is only 19 kilometers, but there are almost no cars on Xialong Expressway and Quannan Expressway, and the road condition is very good.
