The Confucius Cultural Park in Changchun was renovated and expanded on the basis of the original Wenmiao in Changchun. Originally located in Dongtian Street, Nanguan District, Changchun City, the Wenmiao in Changchun was built in the 11th year of Tongzhi in the Qing Dynasty (A.D. 1872), covering an area of about 120,000 square meters. It was mainly built for the sacrifice of Confucius, the most holy ancestor. It has a history of more than 140 years.
