Xiangshan Campus of China Academy of Fine Arts is located in Zhuantang Town, Hangzhou, surrounded by green mountains and waters. The construction area of the new phase I project is 64,000 square meters. It has three teaching units: the School of Visual Arts, the School of Media Animation and the Basic Education Center. The overall campus planning attaches great importance to the creation of the overall environment of the campus and the protection of the ecological environment. Drawing lessons from the development model of Chinese and Western University campuses, we should create a campus overall layout that integrates building, space, garden greening and natural environment into one, and truly build a garden-like and open campus environment that meets the requirements of education and tourism. Starting from the characteristics of the terrain and environment, the overall layout follows the principles of conciseness and efficiency, with clear zoning, fully considering the variability and integrity of future development. Designers have created a semi-artificial gentle slope valley, which corresponds to a large number of buildings in modern universities. Instead of using the traditional small bridge flowing program, they choose a gallery bridge similar to Qingyuan and Longquan which spans the valley and connects with the art studio group at the northern foot of Xiangshan Mountain. However, this deliberate separation of scenic spots is not only a traditional Chinese, but also a brand new contemporary creation, formed in a noisy and prosperous town, a quiet and remote place. The west end of the park intentionally does not arrange tall buildings, so that the landscape extends to the distance, in order to borrow the view of the distant mountains on the West side. At the eastern entrance of the park, there are large fish ponds, bamboo fields and paddy fields, without building or alteration. Designers hope that an authentic Qianmai pasture can survive in a university campus, especially in the campus of an art academy. The "unity of man and nature" itself is a kind of landscape, which is especially related to some kind of work close to nature.
