Situated on the shore of Lake Geneva near the Swiss border city of Montreux, the Castle of Siyong is also the boundary between Switzerland and France. About one third of the castle belongs to France and two thirds belongs to Switzerland. Lake Geneva is the Swiss name for the lake, while the French on the other side call it Lake Lemon. Long ago, this was the main road between Italy and France. To take a panoramic view of the castle, you have to turn right from the exit to the lake and walk across the garden onto the trestle.
