The Confucian Temple in Beijing is located in Guozijian Street in Dongcheng District, next only to the Confucian Temple in Qufu. It is the place where the emperors of Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties sacrificed Confucius. It also displays the inscriptions of the ranks of scholars. There are many ancient trees in the temple, the oldest of which is the 700-year-old cypress.
