The history of Noro's black Catholics has been told, and the museum has made great strides in this regard. The nun did a good job and knew little about it. Our visit to this historic site has greatly helped us appreciate Noro's history and the status of nuns. I am particularly interested in a handwritten letter from President Thomas Jefferson to the nuns assuring them that the United States Government will not interfere with their religion - "it will be preserved sacrosanctly by you and that your institutions will be allowed to govern. According to their own voluntary rules, they do not interfere in civil rights.
The whole monastery has a long history in the local area, especially its design style.
American monasteries are more distinctive and innovative.
Every place in a foreign country is very big and enviable.
