the East End has changed dramatically, you will find it hard to meet Jack the Ripper unless you choose to take part on a London walk. Redevellopment also ment a chance for artists to add their share to a vivid start. So it experimental art you'll be looking for? You'll get it here
This is an art gallery is in the middle of Whitechapel high street, next to the Aldgate station. I've been here twice when I've been in the Shoreditch area. It's worth poking your head in. Sometimes the exhibits are better than others. Check what's on in advance. Check before going because they're not open when they're changing exhibitions, which happened to us once before.
A small but interest gallery in East London. It has changing displays of contemporary art. On permanent display is a tapestry of Picasso's Guernica and an explanation of the connection between the painting and the Whitechapel Gallery. Also connected with the gallery is a very good but small restaurant.
Excellent gallery. Also, pretty cool pub down the road. Not even hipsters show up there.
