Great family adventure! A little rocky for strollers, but I was able to make it around the loop with my City Mini stroller. It's easier if you turn the stroller backwards and walk up. Both my 8 yr old daughter and niece loved it and there are gorgeous flowers everywhere. The address listed on this is incorrect though. The Vineyard address is for Foster Botanical Garden, this one is closer to Hawaii Kai. I had to look it up in my GPS after driving to the Vineyard address. The correct address is: 7491 Kokonani St.Honolulu, HI 96825
Koko Crater Botanical Garden's address is technically in Honolulu, but it is about 30 minutes east of the city, in the neighborhood of Hawaii Kai. Koko Crater is also very close to several other amazing parks, beaches, and hikes. So even though the botanical garden only takes up about two hours of your day, you'll have so much potential to make your day amazing on that side of the island. The garden was fabulous. It's free to get in, so that was perfect for the starving college student that I was at the time. I love all the flowers!
Walk to this beautiful array of Plumeria trees and Bougainvillea. Gorgeous!
I had a great time at this botanical garden. There is an amazing area that features dozens my favorite flowering tree, plumeria, in a spectrum of colors. The pleasant fragrance of these beautiful flowers fill the air. I couldn't help but put one in my hair and keep the smell with me the rest of the day. The garden is very large and features plants from many regions of the world, not just Hawaii.
Unique crater setting. Easy hike and one of the few places in Honolulu without any crowd.
