Honolulu Academy of Arts [established by Ms. Charles M. Cooke in 1922, began exhibition in 1927. There are more than 38,000 permanent collections, the largest comprehensive art museum in Hawaii. Walking hall, through open courtyards and ponds, explores the world's best collection of Asian art as well as the collection of Western, European and Polynesian art. ]
The building itself is one of my favorites. Many worthwhile exhibits.
Love this museum! Reserve the restaurant before you go.
The architecture of Honolululu Institute of Art is the most characteristic and classical architecture I have seen. There is a strong artistic atmosphere in the college. Various exquisite works of art can be seen everywhere, especially in the Asian Gallery where the fine paintings make my trip worthwhile.
