The Daqiu Medical Museum has inherited some ancient medicinal culture in the downtown area of Daqiu. In 1985, the exhibition hall was opened and then upgraded to the Korean Medicine Museum of Daqiu Yaoling City; in 2000, it was designated as a cultural sightseeing neighborhood; in 2001, it was certified as "the oldest pharmaceutical city in Korea"; in 2001, Daqiu Yaoling City was designated as the Korean Special Administrative Region; and in 2012, the 35th Korean Cultural Celebration of Yaoling City was held.
