Lushan Temple is located on the mountainside of Yuelu Mountain on the West Bank of Xiangjiang River in Changsha City. It is a good place to enjoy flowers, smell fragrance, go green, watch ancient times, practise Buddha and taste Zhai. There are many historic sites, which is one of the oldest temples in Hunan Province. The Temple faces the Qingfeng Gorge on the left, drinks Baihe Spring on the right, overlooks Hexi Danfeng in front, Xiangliu in Changdao, and then leans on the wind and cloud of Yubei tablet, deep forest sea. It has the reputation of "the first scenic spot in the Han and Wei Dynasties, the first Taochang in Huxiang", Mountain Gate as archway, Eshu "Gulu Mountain Temple", Tibetan Jingge also known as Guanyin Pavilion, in front of which there are two ancient Luo Hansong plants, which were planted by the Six Dynasties and also known as the Six Dynasties Pine, and has become a living witness of the long history of Lushan Temple. The precious cultural relics preserved in Lushan Temple are the monuments of Lushan Temple, carved in ancient Lushan Temple for Kaiyuan in Tang Dynasty. It is not only the first Buddhist temple in Hunan, but also one of the early Buddhist temples in China. There is a couplet on the Mountain Gate of Lushan Temple "the first scenic spot of Han and Wei Dynasty, the first Taoist site of Huxiang". Lushan Temple is one of the famous Taoist sites in the history of Chinese Buddhism.
1700's Ancient Temple: Very quiet. Take a sightseeing bus (20 yuan) to the top of the mountain, and then walk down (it saves time, effort and money, does not need to go up the hill, it is not hard at all). Although it is deep winter, but through the stairs covered with maple leaves to come here: feel relaxed and happy...
On the mountain of Yuelu Mountain Scenic Spot, Gulu Mountain Temple climbs from steeper stone steps after passing the Aiwanting Pavilion and reaches the ancient temple halfway along a flat road on a bifurcated road. It is said that it is one of the oldest temples in Hunan Province. There are two elephants standing at the gate of the mountain, and there is a Guanyin Pavilion on the hill behind. There is an ancient pine in the Six Dynasties in front of the pavilion. There is also a greedy meow here. When asked about the taste of food on the visitors, it will follow without miao.
The Lushan Temple is just a short walk up from the Love Evening Pavilion. It's also the Hunan Institute of Buddhist Studies, which is very quiet. There are few incense burners and money donations. Instead, it feels worthwhile to visit the Buddhist Institute. It needs to climb up the mountain. The journey is not very long.
Buddhists pay attention to the Enlightenment of mind and nature into Buddha. The whole temple is simple, solemn, no commercial atmosphere, no one is forced to donate incense money, the details are well done, there is a sign under the Bodhisattva with the name, slightly inadequate is poor professional guide explanation. It is worth visiting, enlightening, living, Zen and life.
Arriving at Lushan Temple is one of the famous Taoist temples of Chinese Buddhism. Also known as Huiguang Temple and Longevity Zen Temple, Li Fachong, a disciple of Dunhuang Bodhisattva's Li Fachong, was founded in the fourth year of Emperor Wudi's reign in the Western Jin Dynasty (268 AD). It has a history of more than 1700 years. It is the earliest relic of Buddhism entering Hunan. It is now the main cultural relic protection unit in Hunan Province and the residence of Hunan Buddhist Association. I don't know much about Buddhism, but I like the ancient sculptures in temples, especially the gates. Over the past few years, Buddhist Buddhism has suddenly developed some qualities, one by one carefully watching.
Lushan Temple is a real ancient Buddhist temple. It is said that it has a thousand years of history, several wars and fires. The architecture inside is still ancient style. Once entering the door, there is a free life pool. I don't remember which room I saw the tree carving. It's really good. I recommend it. There are many visitors inside.
In Yuelu Mountain Scenic Area, there is no separate charge. The standard name should be Ancient Lushan Temple, at least the archway is this name, the temple style is very strange, although I have traveled all over the world but did not see which sect it is. The temple is not big. You can make a circle in about ten minutes.
Lushan Temple is one of the oldest temples in Hunan Province. The Mountain Gate is an archway style, the forehead book "the ancient Lushan Temple", and there are bodhi trees in the temple. The evolution of Lushan Temple and the missionary situation of past dynasties since the founding of the temple in Jin and Tai dynasties were recorded in the "Lushan Temple Stele" written by Li Yong in Tang Dynasty and preserved in Yuelu Academy.
