In 1922, the Buddhist circle of Changchun invited Master Du Xu to come to Changchun to speak the Diamond Sutra, and then created a temple named Prajna Temple. Prajna Temple was first built on Xisi Road in Nanguan District, and was relocated to Changchun Street in 1931 for reconstruction. In 1934, it was named "Protecting the Nation's Prajna Temple". In 1936, the opening ceremony was held. Old Master Shupei was recommended as the first Abbot by Master Leixu. In 1983, the Prajna Temple was listed as one of the key monasteries in China.
A very good temple. Located in the center of Changchun, next to the People's Square. The area is not big, and the building is not grand. But it is amazing that both the master and the dwellers in the temple practise the same way. Having the chance to talk to them will benefit a lot. There are a number of very dense pine trees in the temple, which reflect the halls and look very beautiful.
The beautiful scenery along the way, the fresh air, the beautiful scenery, I want to go there once more.
Baoguo Prajna Temple was built in 1936. Now it is the seat of Changchun Buddhist Association. In addition to all the buildings of the general temple, in the deepest part of the temple, after the Tibetan Sutra Pavilion, there is a spiritual bone pagoda built by Pengpei Master. The pagoda is white jade, 3.5 meters high, and the lotus base is 1.8 meters high. The monastery is really solemn and quiet, no big action to take out the camera to take photos, only using mobile phones to take some of the attractions as a souvenir.
A place without admission tickets, and where Master explained Buddhist scriptures, there was no commercial atmosphere, and the pure selection of religious sites was retained!!! The temple is open according to the lunar calendar. If you go there, you must ask if it is open.
