Meishan Temple was built in Sui Dynasty. It is the same as Huangfo Temple in Lingxia and Fantian Temple in Lunshan as the three ancient temples in Tong'an in Sui Dynasty. Meishan Temple is located in the eastern foot of Meishan Mountain in Tong'an City. It was called Tongshan Mountain in ancient times. The mountains are different and steep. It is the barrier of Tongyi. It is only one stream away from the Fantian Temple in the southern foot of Dalun Mountain. Take the bus to the bus stop of Fantianshi Temple, walk through a magnificent Han Baiyushi arch bridge, and then come to Meishan Square at the foot of Meishan Temple. The newly built Meishan Square is very magnificent. The temple is built in accordance with the mountains. On the south foot of the temple, there are cliff stone carvings of Zhu Xi in Song Dynasty written in cinnabar handwriting "Tongshan" with vigorous and elegant handwriting. The temple has the largest cliff stone carvings in the province and the Brahman Buddha Pagoda guarding Xi'an Bridge in the Song Dynasty. And the largest Jade Buddha in Asia. Before the Lantern Festival, you can visit Meishan Temple again. The lanterns are on and the night scenery is very beautiful.
On March 2, 2018, the Lantern Festival was celebrated on the 15th day of the first lunar month, and the festivities returned to Meishan Temple. At sunset, along the waterfront corridor, through Meishan Park, pick up the steps, which will have visitors coming in succession. Throwing pots, clipping marbles, turning wheels, prayer cards and the old man's spontaneous performance made the day very interesting. And the Hanfu Garden Activities, so that there is a more mobile landscape. If you say that the favorite is the "Fulushou Tangyuan" of Meishan Temple, the authentic Southern Fujian traditional Tangyuan, without filling, soft waxy Q-balls, sweet but not greasy black sugar soup juice, super love. As the curtain of night slowly falls, the charm of light and shadow becomes more and more prominent. Looking at the lanterns, besides traditional flower and grass paintings, there are lovely animation. Looking at the lanterns from afar, rows around the Meishan Temple, there is a feeling of returning to the Tang Dynasty. On the return journey, walking on the bridge, here is a sea of people, looking back, because immersed in the noisy lanterns, the neglected full moon hung high on the Meishan Temple, this scene, printed in the hearts of the people, full moon, people reunion, really good.
Meishan Temple at the entrance of the house, at the bus stop of the Film and Television City, is 500 meters away. As a thousand-year-old temple in southern Fujian, it has a long history, beautiful scenery, special style of mountain gate, all of which are carved from granite. Listen to the bells and chant sutras. Touch the Sutra and pray for the family. Why not?
