There are over 7,000 medical artifacts spanning centuries of worldwide medical history – from acupuncture to X-ray therapy – at the International Museum of Surgical Science. On top of items like the iron lung, you'll also find a collection of fine art. With more than 600 paintings, prints, and sculptures, you'll find famous faces from medical history and even a cast of Napoleon's 1821 death mask. Developed in collaboration with the Canadian Space Agency, this exhibition showcases Canada’s pivotal role in advancing health research through an array of authentic artifacts and engaging interactive activities.
