What an amazingly beautiful hotel with amazing staff right from checkin to restaurant housekeeping and spa. I was only here one night working but would happily stay for longer. Spa is a great experience gym was well maintained. Grounds lovely. Room was beautiful, faultless and amazing views. Restaurant service was exceptional and food was excellent. Big clap to the piano player as well 👏

Booked for 5 nights but decided to leave one day earlier because of concerns about their hygiene standards although they still charged for the last night!Food was ok, noting special, the restaurant staff who served us were very friendly though.

The hotel was amazing. The staff were superb on the whole and the personal touches were much appreciated. From breakfast through to oysters and cakes at Apres, followed by a wonderful choice of 6 courses every evening, the standard was unbelievable! The restaurant atmosphere was just right, with a pianist most evenings. Room overlooking the lake was great to wake up to each morning and the spa and pools are just stunning after a hard day on the slopes. Transfers to and from the slopes were quick and simple thanks to the hotel’s private minibus. All in all a wonderful experience, would not hesitate to recommend.

It was a great experience for me, hotel is very clean, staff is really friendly, it has its own spa, rooms are beautiful and comfortable. I can highly recommend. It proposes full board meal, restaurant is with live music every evening. Great quality hotel with all necessary facilities.

This hotel is just incredible. I travelled with my husband and another couple for 7 nights ski holiday. The hotel has a good size ski locker room with heated boot, warmers. it is a seven minute walk up to the City Express ski lift. Alternatively there is a hotel shuttle bus every half an hour from 8.30am and again collection from 3pm. We had a garden view suite which was enormous with a walk-in wardrobe, spacious bathroom including a steam/shower room, the softest, fluffiest duvet. We could sit in the lounge area looking up to the mountains, just perfect. This hotel offered us everything from the wellness spa with its outdoor heated pool, indoor pool, sauna, steam, gym and a range of daily activities, also relaxing areas after a day of activity as well as a full range of treatments. The food was of exceptional quality, beautifully presented, whether that be any of the courses or the buffet. I would also mention the impeccable service with such great attention to detail. The bar was such a lovely cosy area with the barman getting to know you straight away and your preferences and giving great recommendations. This was also where afternoon tea was served and the selection of cakes and strudel were absolutely superb. How anyone could keep away from these cakes would be a miracle and we must’ve put on a few pounds whilst being there! We all agreed that we would definitely be back whether that was during the winter or summer season.

Booked a weeks stay for my 50th Birthday. Currently on day 4. Everything is so beautiful, the welcome champagne and oysters, the gorgeous decorated dinner table for my Birthday and of course the cake. Rooms are luxurious, clean with endless little touches adding to the luxury. Food is incredible and the staff so friendly but with impeccable service. This hotel treats guests like royalty but without being overbearing or pretentious. The town itself is so pretty and the skiing has been amazing. I can't imagine we won't return. Tips - Spa is exceptional, book the classes, yoga, pilates, guided saunas etc beautiful experiences.

Fantastic service from all staff. Cleaners, reception, waiters. Impeccably clean and comfortable hotel. Always a nice smelling fresh light fragrance around the hotel. We were offered an upgraded room. Thank you very much. It was wonderful. Delicious food every day. Great variation and top quality. Great location for lake, town and ski lift. Excellent spa. Always spotlessly clean and everything working. Can’t wait to return for another holiday.

Excellent hotel. The staff couldn’t be nicer or more accommodating. Food was excellent and wines also. Cakes in afternoon a lovely touch. Spa was extensive lots of rooms to relax as well as saunas steam rooms and the treatment i had was very good Hope to come back soon

The real test of any hotel is the question “Would you go back”? When my wife suggested a trip to the snow in January 2024, we both agreed that it had to be the Salzburgerhof. After visiting in March of 2023, it was only a matter of time before we returned. As a hotel with all-round excellence. It has few peers. Whilst everyone is entitled to their own opinion, some of the negative reviews are simply hilarious. For example, criticism of the restaurant staff is risible. No place can ever be totally faultless but the restaurant service in the hotel comes closer than any place we have visited. For example, some diners like to have their wine poured by staff - I do not. The practice of depositing your wine in an ice-bucket yards away, drives me mad. When I saw this happening in the Salzburgerhof I was about to intervene but my wife (God bless her) suggested I let it be to see what happened. The service was simply perfect. Our glasses never emptied but were also never over-filled. As a metaphor for the entire restaurant service - you could have no better example. That level of service was evident throughout the hotel and this is the foundation as to why it is such a wonderful place to stay. The food at the hotel is astonishingly good, considering there are so many covers. Enough choice, expertly prepared, perfectly balanced and - should you wish - the best end of meal cheese selection I have ever seen at any hotel. Despite this high level of sophistication, don’t think this hotel is a little “mom and pop” place, or a tiny hotel with few facilities - quite the opposite. I’d go as far as to say the hotel is more of a spa resort. There are so many treatments and facilities that you are spoiled for choice. Indoor/outdoor pools, gyms and daily suggestions for things to do during your stay. They even have a table-football machine in the “games room”. As we waited for our taxi to arrive, we talked about the possibility of a return next winter and both of us agreed - that was definitely going to happen. In terms of overall excellence, you will be hard pressed to find better. We will be back again next winter, that's for sure.
