The Ynyscedwyn Arms Hotel

Visited as a family on a Saturday evening. Restaurant was about half full. We were told there would be a wait for food but the wait wasn’t too long and it was nice to chat. Food was lovely when it arrived - although we were a little surprised that there was no ketchup available!! The only negative of the visit was the choice or should I say lack of wine. Only white available was a Chardonnay not even a Prosecco only rose. In the end I went for a lager. Staff were friendly and polite.

Me and my husband came here for Sunday lunch recently. We hadn't booked and they were full, however this wasn't an issue the staff were more than happy to accommodate and seat us at the bar. To be honest at first glance the food didn't look the best, however we were thoroughly surprised and really enjoyed our meal. My husband is hard to please when going out to eat a sunday roast, but he didnt leave a crumb. We would definitely recommend and 100% go again.

A nice location. Host very nice and friendly. A clean and comfortable room adequate for our needs at a very reasonable price. Beds had deep comfy mattresses and soft fluffy pillows. Plenty of tea and coffee in room. Even an ironing board and iron in wardrobe if needed.

After months of waiting for the rooms to be finished upgrading , what a disappointment !! . We stayed in Room 4 , after staying there before the upgrade , the room had not improved at all . It was very small there was no bedside tables , no mirror at all except in the bathroom . The kettle was on a tray on the window sill , nowhere to plug in except balancing on the radiator , for health and safety we did not have a hot drink in the room . The carpet on the stairs up to the room was very dirty and smelly , there was a load of rubbish at the top of the stairs just by our room .We were very disappointed and will not be returning.

I went for lunch with a group of friends and I have to say, what a lovely place! The outside area is great and such a nice area to enjoy a few. Fab location, the staff were great and so helpful. The food was absolutely lovely. We will definitely be returning.

Went for lunch and had food from the lunch deal. Fantastic price for what you get, staff were friendly and chatty, highly recommend. We had the fish and chips and hunters chicken, we were informed it is half the size of the standard meal, however we had loads of chips and unable to finish it all.
