Thankfully we were only there for a quick overnight or we would have found another hotel. At most, a two star hotel. The hotel was very dirty, trash and general filth in the elevators, vending/ice area, and hallways. The room was in very poor shape. Bed skirts that were torn and hanging from the bed, cabinet for the fridge was tilted as if it was going to fall at any moment, holes in the wall, and holes in all the lamp shades. Tried to overlook all this and then discovered both the towels and the sheets had spots on them that appeared to look like dried blood. Upon starting to tell the front desk about the poor conditions at checkout she somewhat jumped in immediately giving us a story about the hotel is scheduled for an update and the pandemic has delayed that. The comical part is, we didn’t get beyond “Our room was in poor condition…” before she was jumping in explaining her reason why and inviting us back next year. So, it must not be the only time she has heard this type of feedback. Too bad she didn’t wait/ask for something specific because dirty items shouldn’t be dependent on a renovation. We won’t be returning and really will reconsider relying on the Holiday Inn brand in general.
