Hi just came back from the Victoria hotel wot a lovely friendly pub we got there early a girl came out and said we could leave our car in the car park till we checked in at 2 pm so we went for a walk into the centre we were staying there for one nite to see Micheal ball at the Barbican theatre I was so pleased it was 5 mins walk to get there wen we got back from the centre we were showed to our room it was small it had everything you needed for a nite lovely towels tea and coffee lovely clean sheets a comfy bed as well wot can you ask for for 78 pound a nite we had a drink in the bar the girl was lovely keep up your gud work we saw the boss think they called him Jonny he was really friendly we didn’t stay for breakfast although we asked him did he cater for celiac which my husband was he said he did next time we will stay for breakfast we throughly enjoyed our stay and next morning we asked the boss could leave our car in the car park he said no probs so that give us more time in York our car was perfectly safe they had cctv you have to try this hotel pls thank you so much Jonny n staff we definitely gona stay again xx

The service was amazing, staff are really friendly we loved the music early 2000’s was exactly what you were looking for. Really enjoyed the atmosphere the lights being on added a nice touch! Was lovely to speak to you Shell we enjoyed it a lot!

Great little pub, we stayed overnight because we were going to the barbican which was ideal ( it's about 2 mins walk from the pub) the accommodation was very clean with comfy bed and great bathroom. We had breakfast in the morning which was lovely and plenty full thanks especially to Kerry who looked after us, would definitely stay again and would recommend. 5 stars.

Lovely Friendly traditional pub very welcoming.. very enjoyable Sunday lunch and value for money good portions .. Would definitely recommend for a Sunday lunch ,, we will be visiting again 👌🏻 we’ll done too all staff involved… xxx 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

This is The best place weve stayed in a long time The atmosphere is so Warm and welcoming The Landlord went above and beyond, nothing was too much for him We was ever so grateful for his help The food was just fab & especiallythe breakfast was 10 out of 10

The management team shared pictures of our used bed sheets on their personal facebook pages. Medical conditions involved, disgusting behaviour , especially after the landlord admitted he pissed the bed in the guest room. Steer clear people

From start to finish excellent stay, the staff are so welcoming and can’t do enough for you. The bed was spotless as was the newly refurbished bathroom. Breakfast was great and catered for my dietary requirements (gluten free). Location is great for sightseeing and shopping. There were some good offers on drinks at the bar too. We will definitely be returning.

The Location was good for the Xmas markets 15 mins walk. There was parking at the hotel and the staff were very helpful. The beds were comfy and very clean. Breakfast was excellent, would stay there again if we go to York.
