Great location and a fair price for the accommodation. Evening meal and service great. Wifi in the room didn’t work until we got the code for the staff router. Freeview in room 7 needed to be connected. Bring your own shower gel as none was provided. Co traveller asked for extra bedding as duvet was thin and was told there wasn’t any at first. I checked with Caitlin and she said that wasn’t the case and quickly found some and put it in the rooms for us all. She also bled the radiators in both rooms - excellent service from her! Facilities very dated and tired but the bed was comfy and we got what we paid for. Great location for the ferry.

My children found 9 (NINE) sharp tacks/pins on the floor. It could have been a nightmare if they stepped on one of them. They most likely came from the beds which looked pretty knackered. Next morning, we reported it to a guy who worked there, and he only replied to us “thank you” - with NO apology or NO compassion at all, “just get off” impressions. Things would have been ok if his behaviour was more adequate but sadly not. This place is one of finest examples of the things on the Isle of Wight which doesn’t want to change from 1970s. In fact it’s worse because of this guy’s attitude. Shame because this place could be 1000 times better with such an amazing historic building, especially in this pretty town of Yarmouth.

We stayed in what was advertised as a luxury en-suite room but nothing could be further from the truth. The decor, furniture, carpets etc were all tired & tatty. Curtains in the seating area were hanging off the rail & there was a general smell of drains coming from the bathroom. General areas in the pub were cosy & staff were very pleasant but I would not book accommodation there again. ******* you need to check properties more carefully before putting them on your website.

Fabulous stay with helpful staff, great atmosphere and value for money.

Charming place and totally central! We also took advantage of eating in the restaurant and the food was good pub food! We would stay again, but would need a bigger bed, as for my partners size, the bed was to small.

Lovely setting in the Town of Yarmouth right next to the harbour view from the room was of the harbour seeing the wightlink comi g in and out and smaller boats on the solent family room very spacious beds very comfortable lovely Sunday lunch totally recommended to have one if you are staying or in the area Would not hesitate in staying again

Lovely inn in the heart of Yarmouth. Really nice recpetionist, clean room with a very comfortable bed. Spacious ensuite with a very deep bath. Beer garden was a lovely spot for drinks.

Lovely place, nice food, pleasant staff. Room was a bit tired and needed a revamp, the decor was a bit shabby (would still see the pattern on the overpainted wallpaper), needed a full repaint and shower upgrade. The bed squeezed when you moved! Very noisy but to be expected in a busy town centre pub. Serious rat problem outside, we watched them running all over the place in the outside seating area. No breakfast was a disappointment but you could get it at the cafe next door.

Staff very friendly and good at what they do, 9/10. The building s a whole good, 7/10. Room could have been better. Bathroom cracked tile floor. Mould….Comfortable bed. 5/10. .. No breakfast!………Would use again. Have stayed in a lot worse…….Staff made it.
