This is a very special location, we booked our stay on the same day on the road up from London. Sue could not have been more welcoming! The room was clean, modern and well equiped. There is also very easy access to the pubs and restaurants in Penrith. Sue was very helpful with recommendations. This is an excellent stop-over on the journey to Scotland and we will certainly be coming again. The breakfast next morning was first class - very tasty with good choice and local produce! Highly recommended.

Perfect location, very quiet (our room looked out onto the most picturesque church and grounds, gorgeous in the sunset). Lovely accommodations, great bed, all clean and every amenity in place. Sue is a very welcoming host, but moreover her little sub-hosts, the adorable pups, were over-the-top delightful and made for a very warm atmosphere. We had a first-rate stay, couldn’t recommend it more highly. Thanks, Sue!

Lovely guest house in ideal location for restaurants, shops. Clean, comfortable room. Additional facilities such as fridge & bathrobe’s. Friendly welcome from Sue and also enjoyed our breakfast in the lovely dining room. Would stay here again and would recommend.

Brooklands Guest House, Penrith, is a lovely 5* bed and breakfast in a quiet location a minutes walk from the town centre shops, pubs and restaurants. Conveniently located close to the M6 with easy access to the Lake District, Scottish Boarders and Hadrians Wall. Brooklands is spotless throughout with a comfortable bed and wonderful breakfast cooked to order by your wonderful host Sue. Very highly recommended and would return in a heartbeat.

Beautifully decorated the room was well thought out with amenities such as a fridge, a robe and even a toothbrush and toothpaste. The beds were very comfortable and bedding was perfect. unfortunately we didn’t get up for breakfast as my friend and I had a late night meal. I can imagine the breakfast would have been beautiful.

We stayed here for one night. A warm welcome from Sue when we arrived and who showed us to our room. Went the extra mile and provided fresh milk for teas and coffees. Lovely room, very comfortable and clean. Fantastic breakfast in the morning. What more could we ask for, will definitely be back.

Lovely welcome on arrival, very clean rooms with super comfy bed. All toiletries supplied which smelt divine. Excellent choice for breakfast which was delicious. Sue booked us a nearby restaurant for supper and couldn’t have been more helpful.

Wonderful greeting and warm reception at arrival. Park at door. Walk to dinner. Very quiet neighbours. Lean and comfortable with nice treats!! Happily recommend!!
