Always enjoy our stay! Located in the historic downtown RJ Reynolds building (the father of the Empire State Building). Wonderful service. The views are stunning. Don’t miss Katharine’s Restaurant. Complimentary wine served at 5 pm daily in the lobby. Can’t wait to return!

The bartenders don’t survey the bar. Therefore you sit there trying to get their attention with three people seated at the bar. it’s almost as if they don’t care, not very customer focused. Additionally they called last call Thursday night at 11pm with 150 people there for WF parents weekend. Most patrons and those staying at the hotel were astonished… what a terrible business decision.

I think this hotel is definitely overrated. There’s an air of sophistication, but it is not backed up by service or true hospitality. There seemed to be more excuses rather than actual guest accommodation. I had heard some mixed reviews, so I went to check for myself and was very disappointed by the pretense of something special without the proper delivery.

Overall, the rooms are comfortable and the service is great. Room service food was good too. We paid almost $100/night extra for a Premium Exterior View and end up with a view of the back of a parapet wall and some office windows across the street, so be careful about paying extra for a view. The surrounding block or two are office buildings, not a tourist feel, if that’s what you are looking for.

I came here for a work conference and couldn’t get the hotels near the Benton Convention Center. I decided to stay here and was completely surprised how nice it is. The on-site Restaurant is amazing. The service here is extraordinary!!! Only four blocks from the Convention center. I slept so good at night also. Completely quiet.

Where do I even start ! Just 2 weeks ago I would tell people this is one of the best hotels on the east coast but my last stay terrible ! Thanks all to the guest service agent Nikki ! She was so mean and unwelcoming she should definitely not be in this business or needs to be re trained. I called early to add my boyfriend’s name to the reservation and even her phone Etiquette was poor. She always seemed to have an attitude. Literally the worse attitude I’ve seen in an establishment of this kind. Her attitude is more suited for fast food nothing with direct contact on ensuring guest are satisfied. She didn’t want to be bothered it seemed as she checked me in. She wouldn’t even give me eye contact. Anything she could say no to she made it clear. I used the code word and she didn’t even crack a smile this was a 5 star review I had to delete and revise because this visit was so bad ! I really felt so unwelcome I couldn’t believe this was the same place I’ve been too 3 times since April. Please get her out off of the front desk and I don’t think I will be returning. The only thing that saved it was seeing Kenya she’s still a rock star I saw her on the way out she had a warm smile per usual ! Have a great day

Another great stay! Kenya at the front desk was amazing she was so sweet and welcoming ! I’ll be back next week for my third stay! Definitely my fav hotel! And I’m now a regular and only staying here every time I’m in Winston Salem ! I’m so sad I don’t remember the other persons name who checked me in the the first time I think it was Ty he was new and the sweetest please feel free to contact me so I can fix this and give him his flowers as well

I've stayed here multiple times. This is a gorgeous hotel in a historic building that the Empire State building in New York was modeled after. The rooms are large and comfortable. Because of it's location it's close to everything there is to do downtown, but it's also quiet. The restaurant is also really nice. The staff has also been very accommodating.

One of the dustiest places I’ve ever stayed at. Glasses were dirty in the room. Dog hair all on the carpet. Old food left in the fridge from the last guest. The best thing about this place was the recreational area. Servers seem to be preoccupied with the latest gossip. Please do something about that thick ring of dust around the halo of the room and omg we moved the bed and behind it was so must dust I could have knitted my whole family a sweater
