아스펜스 온 블랙콤(The Aspens on Blackcomb)

Nice location on Blackcomb side of Whistler. Worst location of unit we have ever had with RCI and we have been members for over 25 years! Unit was over the maintenance entry for truck and beside the garbage dumping area where the garbage and service trucks came starting a 7 am every morning, to 9:30 pm some nights. RCI should be ashamed that they offer such a unit!! and traded it as a red week point level in this resorts off season time!

We stayed at Aspens 123 in January 2023. The reception staff were friendly and helpful, as were the ski valet staff. There was a beautiful large heated pool and three hot tubs outside that were glorious after a day on the slopes. We found Aspens to be reasonable value for money, a short ski down to the lifts, and ski-in to the door. Unless taking the shuttle buses, it was a walk down the side of the piste to the shops, and a walk back up again... which was a little tedious, but manageable. The apartment was older, but was spacious and met all our needs for a great stay in Whistler Blackcomb.

The unit was spacious and comfortable and reasonably close to the elevator. Access to the ski out was a plus, though we were not there for the skiing. It was a short walk to the upper village as well as into town. This time of year was a strange mix of icy or muddy depending on the temperature of the day & snow conditions. Parking was easy and convenient. Hot tub was large and packed apres skiing. Free transit offered by Whistler Village is wonderful and convenient. All around a great stay.

Great accommodation and easy access to lifts and shops plus restaurants

We specifically booked this place for the use of the kitchen area. The fridge stopped working the first night and flooded the kitchen. It spoiled $100 in groceries which in turn also led us to have to eat out and spend more money. The dishwasher is not mounted and everytime you opened the door it would pull out and tip out of the cabinetry. The masterbed window latch was broke so the window could close all the way and lock. The unit itself is worse for wear. Marked up walls, chipped cabinetry, frayed carpet. On top of all that some glassware was clearly used and put back dirty. The pictures of the ad were not accurate. With all the inconveniences we got an $18 refund. That is an insult.

Luxurious place to stay - a pity we were only there for one night. We had a room overlooking the gondolas. I had a little trail run and we saw our first black bear here [not on my run, fortunately] Whistler is custom-designed for tourists [don't let that put you off] - neatly manicured lawns and perfect rooms. These rooms are very well appointed with everything you could need.

We really enjoyed our stay, loved our king bed, loved being able to hike out from our resort. Also enjoyed the pool and hot tubs and all that Whistler has to offer, from hiking to biking to paddleboarding to disc golf.

Great mountain resort with many walking/bike trails out of the building. This is a ski in/out resort and even though we do not ski, the snow was melting daily and we were able to walk down the slope to the village.

We arrived at the resort on a friday, the unit was clean and exactly as expected from our checkin information. We could ski directly from the unit, there was a ski valet to check our skiis, as they weren't allowed in the rooms. Then come Monday all the lifts from this side of the mountain were closed, the ski valet was closed and we had to make other less convenient arrangements for getting up the mountain (we opted to walk the extra 0.5km), there was no notification that this was not going to be a 'ski out' resort after April 16. Due to the online line checkin we didn't really have face to face dealings with the staff so we don't know if we would have had more information if there had been a pre covid check in arrangement.
