I recently had the opportunity to stay at the Four Seasons Resort in Anguilla, after spending some time at the Belmond Cap Juluca. My experience at Four Seasons was, unfortunately, quite underwhelming, earning it a 2/5 star rating from me and decided to never go to another Four Seasons Resort. The first notable issue was the pricing of the food. An avocado roll with six pieces cost an exorbitant $30. Furthermore, the buffet for two was priced at $160, which wouldn't have been an issue if there had been a decent selection. However, the options were very limited, and to our dismay, we found a large hair in the goat meat. When we brought this up to a staff member, they simply took the plate away without offering an apology or saying anything. The beach experience was also disappointing. The waves were so large that swimming or even entering the water was impossible. This was a stark contrast to the peaceful beach at Belmond Cap Juluca. Additionally, the main infinity pool at Four Seasons was severely undersized for the resort, offering only about 20-25 chairs for a 180+ room facility. This made enjoying the pool area quite challenging. The spa experience at the Four Seasons was, unfortunately, the worst I've ever had. From the outset, there was a lack of communication and hospitality. No one took the time to explain the process or offerings to us, which made the whole experience feel impersonal and rushed. After changing for our treatments, we were not directed to the lounge areas for refreshments, which is a standard practice in most high-end spas. Instead, we were rather unceremoniously guided back to the lobby. The couples massage we received was just average; it lacked the relaxing ambiance one expects, with no soothing music or calming environment. It was eerily quiet throughout. Post-massage, we were immediately directed to the locker room to change and leave, without being offered any of the usual amenities like access to a pool or a lounging area to relax and extend the spa experience. This felt very abrupt and unwelcoming. Moreover, when it came to payment, the experience took another downturn. We inquired if the gratuity was included, considering the prevalent 18% service charge on other services. The front desk informed us that only a 10% gratuity was included, which was distributed among all staff, essentially implying it wasn't a direct tip and suggesting we should tip more. This felt like an awkward and uncomfortable situation, especially after an already subpar experience. The spa experience at Four Seasons Anguilla was far from the luxurious, relaxing experience one would expect from such a reputed resort. It significantly contributed to my overall disappointment with the resort. We also faced an issue with customer service. Despite requesting a mere one-hour late checkout, our request was denied, and the staff eventually hung up on us without resolution. On a positive note, the room we upgraded to was quite nice, and the v
