It was supposed to be a relaxing holiday but it turned out to be a really stressful time, and still is now that I'm back, since I've been waiting for two weeks now to have several hundred euros back (which I wasn't supposed to be charged with in the first place). The local staff was kind but I can't say the same for the Italian staff (except the manager), which was unkind and rude at times and made you feel unwelcome. The weather was windy and the pools always quite cold so we couldn't really use them, and it was impossible to go to the beach (dirty) because at least 10/15 men at times would come to us trying to sell stuff and never left us alone even when asked to do so (first nicely, then annoyed) and also became verbally aggressive (quite scary since we were two girls by ourselves). The resort wasn't "ready" for clients, there were people using the hammer, painting and repairing the walls and working around, there were leaves and a lot of dead flies in the pools and the guys there stood up and started to clean only after seeing me trying to do so by myself. They try to "help" only when they can ask for tip money in return, there is generally no kindness nor professional attitude behind their gestures. The rooms are outdated, the mattresses by the pool are dirty in crow's escrements, the bathroom fixture is covered in limestone,...

I stayed at Lily palm in May 2023,I got one of the best rooms close to the beach,the staff were very helpful especially Jacob the pool attendant he was always smiling and ready to help with the sun beds and Incase you need photos of you taken and you don't want to bother other people he is the right guy to look for,all in all I am looking forward to visit same time in 2024 but it shows that the hotel is sold out.This is my 2nd visit in this place and looking forward for my third...I loved it there!!!

This hotel was more for entertainment holidays, which if you like is great, however we wanted to chill / relax, which wasn't really possible with all the activities going on, the staff are keen to get you to engage. We also got conned into a massage, which unfortunately was not great and we discovered was extremely expensive for what we paid elsewhere in Watamu. Rooms were fine, clean. Bed was not so comfy, not the pillows. The internet only works now and again, my sister who works remotely really struggled as she was unable to work with no WIFI. The pool area was often very busy too. The Italian restaurant on the front was amazing, the food was 10/10.

I have booked 10 massages with Hassan and it has been the best decision ever . When I arrived to Watamu I had a condition called “frozen shoulder” and without telling it to Hassan, he felt my shoulder and understood immediately what my problem was. With his professionalism and competence he improved my mobility within 10 massages and It was simply amazing. I strongly recommend their treatment as well as their standard massages and scrubs that I have tried and are also very valid.

Perfect services and great meals at Lilly palm resort, we spent here some quality time during our 2nd Uganda Kenya coast Tourism conference and excursions. It's another place in a million that I can do recommend travellers to spend time from here Lilly Palm resort

We enjoyed our stay at the Lilly palms to the fullest. Everything was really clean and calm. Especially the Stuffs are super nice and friendly. Also there is a restaurant Mapango at the beach front the food is very delicious, we went their several times we enjoyed it really much. They have the best tuna Pizza. Very special to us was the massage and spa area. We was really happy with the stuffs they really know what to do they also responded to all needs. With the massages we were able to enjoy our vacation even more.

The massage is wonderful, and Nancy is a wonderful person and a skilled specialist. The most beautiful thing about this trip is dealing with the health club staff at the hotel. We felt that we were truly at home, and they were a beautiful family for us. We stayed for three days here . The real stars of this Hotel is the staff, especially at breakfast and dinner service, the girl in charge of the operation is hospitality gold, exceptionally good at her job, in fact all the serving/waitering staff were great I liked the turn down service where they sprayed the room with mosquito repellant, not a single bite in three days :) Dinner was good but they need to get their bain marie's fired up a bit more. breakfast could be improved. Negatives were the room a bit outdated, good quality solid mahogany furniture that's seen it's day , that said it could be upscaled and given a new lease of life with some sandpaper and good quality furniture paint. Lost water pressure second and third days

This is a nice hotel if you just want to go and relax. The stuff were very professional, welcoming and helpful as well. the pool was amazing. The only downside of this hotel is that the beach is not clean at all full of sea **** and litter as well. Well we non Italian speakers felt left out in most activities because all the instructions were in Italian and they didn't translate for us. The food was not that amazing few options to choose from but the pizza was impeccable . So if you are planning to go there beware if you are not Italian because you will feel left otherwise.

Had one amazing deep tissue massage whilst staying at Lily Palm. Masseur took great care and time in getting rid of knots in my back and overall relieving tension. Would highly recommend to anyone staying at Lily Palm!

I was supposed to stay in this hotel for a week but as soon as I arrived I got the feeling this was not the place for me and my kids. I read reviews about rooms being old so, I decided to upgrade my stay booking MAPANGO room, which, as far as I understood, they were the newest rooms. At our arrival, they gave us a Mapango room that was old and stinky. It really smelled of swage. Broken shower. THERE IS NO FRESH WATER IN THIS HOTEL. The water is SALTY. Coming from the sea... so... it's like you are not washing at all. The manager justified this by saying that "the State is not giving fresh water and is a common problem with that area"... but the same night I changed hotel and in the 5 stars hotel we were provided with EVERYTHIG: fresh water, electricity etc. How's that, then?? The evening buffet is actually good. ITALIAN FOOD. But here comes the thing: the crows are also there and they poop on your table - They gave me a table with a white crow poop right on the red tablecloth! Drinks included in the meals? Yeah: plain water. The rest is extra. I could not sleep in this place, it was all too much. The hotel manager was so kind to release me and my kids from this nightmare. And off we went to the Blue Bay Village next door - where finally we felt like home again. AWASOME PLACE! I must say, the hotel manager of Lily Palm Resort did not discuss about it and gave me all the money back and offered us the dinner. I appreciated his manners very much. But despite this, I honestly would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. I have been working in the tourism sector for 20 years and as a tour director for more than 15 years and I saw all types of hotels and resorts... This place has a great potential but it needs better management and more money to be spent in maintenance. Please, close the garbage room and move it to a different location... with that heat, it is impossible to breath the poisoned air coming from the garbage room! It is really unhealthy! If you are wondering about the beach... well, it's there - under the seaweeds and crowded by locals, druggies and beach boys and Italian Tourists. You might as well go to Riccione... why flying to Kenya if you need to be in Italy? DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY. If you are there already: go out on the beach and walk along it to the left ... pass the little "market" and you'll find paradise: a beautiful beach with a few boats, baby sharks swimming in shallow water and the Blue Bay Village smiling at you! Use that structure if you fancy beauty!
