Overall, this stay was “ok” but this hotel room was annoyingly frustrating. This review is for the king suite with premier city view.
Pros: The hotel lobby was clean, well decorated, and it smelled good. The workers were nice and professional and I didn’t have to wait very long to check in. The best part of the stay was that the linens were good. I am very sensitive about bedding due to allergies. I didn’t wake up with skin irritation or stuffy nose, which is a HUGE plus and *almost* negates all the downsides.
Cons: the decor was nice, but everything was so super inconvenient. It took some time to figure out the lights, as they all had different kinds of switches. The room overall was not as clean as it could have been. The carpet needed vacuumed along the sides of the room as there were crumbs all around. The TV remote did not work and we couldn’t switch over to the HDMI port, so don’t plan on bringing a streaming device. There were NO USB ports near the bed. They did have plugs, but the lack of built in USB ports near the bed was a complete surprise as I didn’t take an adapter with me. They did have built in USB across the room, but if you plan on charging your phone overnight, you will have to walk over to turn your alarm off. The view was okay, mostly the building across the street. But we could see part of the Washington monument which was cool. The bathroom was just regular, small, and there weren’t bathrobes though the description said there would be.
