Nice House in the Woods We had a great time. Close to national park and an hour and a half commute to Washington DC.We enjoyed the property and the quietness.

VA Mountain Getaway This is a new cabin with thoughtful and accommodating pluses to provide for a delightful time in a somewhat remote quiet location. Though we encountered an issue upon arrival, the hosts very quickly responded and resolved the issue satisfactorily. We were very comfortable and enjoyed a very pleasant stay in the mountains. This is a great place to enjoy the hiking and area sights.

greeted by overflowing trash We notified the host after we arrived on Friday, and received a response that they would contact the garbage company to pick it up the trash piled by the front of the house. They did not contact us again, and the next night the trash was still there when we returned and was starting to make the inside of the house smell, so we couldn't use the room with the pool table or the fire pit out front. We contacted the host Sunday to let them know we were cutting our trip short and leaving. After that message they replied that the garbage service was closed on the weekend, and they would send someone over to clean up the trash and air out the house. I didn't even see that reply until we were already back home, but it means they knew by Saturday that the garbage company wasn't open and didn't let us know that or even offer to send anyone to clean it up until after we said we were leaving. It was a bit annoying that no one checked the property before we arrived, but we could have gotten past that if they had made a good faith effort to clean up after being notified of the problem. We contacted VRBO about a refund for the final day of the stay, because the owner did not offer that, but haven't heard back yet. I think we've learned our lesson about renting from off-site owners who don't have a local property manager and will be more careful in the future.

Wonderful Place! We really enjoyed everything about this property!

Great for adult family getaway! My family (parents and 2 adult children) loved our stay at Venture Cabin in the Valley for a few nights. The house was perfect- clean, well stocked, easy to get to, beautiful surroundings. Everything we needed was there, from extra towels and blankets, to aluminum foil! The beds were also super comfortable and had plenty of pillows, which isn't always the case! We loved using the fire pit, and on a night we got rained out, we were able to enjoy the back deck with the string lights. The location was very easy to get to, although I will admit I missed the house number sign when I turned down the street as the green sign blended in to the green bushes, so know the house is on the immediate right when you turn down the road. Looking forward to a return trip in the fall or winter so we can also use the indoor fireplace.

Awesome location & value We all wished we could stay longer. This property was peaceful, quiet, and extremely well thought out. The gold standard for short term rental properties. I would 100% come here again, and plan to!

Generally fine The property was as represented but we couldn’t get the fire alarm to stop cautioning that the battery was low until we finally had to disconnect it. I could not get through to the owner- reception was poor given area.
