Faulty Towers

It would be best to be certain what you're getting when you come to Fawlty Towers. This is a $340 a night B&B, so it's not cheap. We stayed at the Warehouse in Geelong. A beautiful two-bedroom apartment with all facilities at $200. So the question is, what makes Fawlty Towers stand out? They are different. As a B&B, Fawlty Towers has an excellent breakfast, but you will need to be eating out and there is nowhere for food preparation. This means you will be spending a relatively small amount of the day at Fawlty Towers. You will begin your visit by receiving a 700-word email of what you are expected to do and not to do before you arrive. It's a funny way to start a visit. Uniquely Fawlty. Here is the list: You will be expected to leave a credit card imprint presumably so that deductions can be made if rules are infringed. If you don't have a credit card, you have to bring $400 in cash as a guarantee against loss or damage. Part of your welcome includes “Please be aware that it takes hours to make each suite up.” The use of bath bombs or bubbles in the spa will add an additional $30 cleaning cost. To conserve water/energy, one spa per night of stay is included. If you have a fake tan - particularly a spray tan, please do NOT use the spa. Please, no candles - smoke detectors are fitted throughout. No meal prep is permitted in the suite. (Some) guests are allergic to perfumes, as well as cigarette smoke and so we ask that you do not use perfumes/aftershaves/aerosols in the rooms; applying perfumed products when outside. Please don't bring any WiFi towers to the B&B. It wasn't a problem for us, we don't use fake tan, aerosols, perfumes, candles, aftershaves, or bath bombs, we don't smoke and we weren't interested in using the spa and we were eating out. Your hostess, Pam, wants to protect you from radiation, so the bed is a radiation-free zone. There is no "WhyFry", so you can't access THE AGE and papers aren't delivered. There are plenty of restaurants within reasonable driving distance, all of which are reviewed in Tripadvisor. Fawlty Towers is a small oasis of tranquillity; the motorway is a far distant hum. The gardens would have to be regarded as a work in progress. We stayed in the Merlin Suite, decorated in late 19th century Victorian decor. Not a period that stands out, but it has a particular quirkiness. The main room had two large comfortable armchairs and a sofa. This opened onto the bedroom, which had a large, very comfortable king-sized radiation-free bed and a large period piece sideboard complete with cups and saucers. There was a small alcove with a small fridge and space making a cup of tea. There is a spacious bathroom with an immense spa, the size of the small space shuttle, which, Pam assured us, was extremely popular. One of my rating scales is a 1 to 10 ranking of bathrooms. A 10 is when having a shower is a pure delight. Zero is when having a shower is an uncomfortable disaster. I've had those,
