빌라 미칼리스(Villa Michalis)

One of the best hotels we have been to would definitely be this. The friendly staff made us feel extremely welcome. The immaculate and spacious rooms had large, comfortable beds and excellent food for breakfast and also from their restaurant which all added up to make it an exceptional experience and a joy to be at the hotel also with it only being a 15 min drive from Fira( the capital city of Santorini). It was away from all the crowds but close enough to the attractions for a pleasant stay. It was also very close to a fine beach where you could also see the famous sunset debatably as well as you could from Oia( famous for its sunset). Overall this was an amazing accommodation to stay at and if we would come back to Santorini we would pick this hotel.

Booked as this hotel was local to the harbour where I'm meeting a sailing trip. Was met by the owners and very efficiently led straight to my room at 02.30 after a long day's travelling (highly recommend their online check-in service through *********** that allowed this). Clean and comfortable and a convenient (in my case) slightly later check out of 11am. Breakfast was simple yet varied and delicious. Fruit, amazing Greek yoghurt, honey plus a hard boiled egg and bread/pastries all delivered to the table. There was also cheese and ham which I didn't have any room for! Hotel is in a very quiet untouristy area and was perfect for a days relaxing by the pool before meeting my tour group. The pool was clean and pretty with ample sun loungers available all day!

I have traveled at least half way around the world and stayed at many places. The Villa Michalis is the absolute "BEST". The rooms are basic, but incredibly clean. The Restaraunt (Meroula) has incredible fresh food. Everynight there were people from other hotels eating there. tHE STAFF, is the best I have ever seen. Stavros, the owner and his Wife are the ultimate host. They do everything for you. THe location is 15 minutes from the tourist towns and right on the harbor for breathtaking sunsets. All this at a price that is way, way les than anywhere else. If you like a clean, simple room with a Fabolus Staff then this is the place.

We stayed here for one week, we needed a relaxing holiday, from the minute we arrived we were made to feel like family by Michalis, his wife and Stavros. Our room was so clean and serviced every day. The breakfast was plentiful. The evening meals delicious. Would I come back, in a heart beat. Thanks for a wonderful holiday 😊

This was our 2nd visit, our first back in 2016, and we were glad to see Michalis and Meroula were still there, with the addition of Stavros and the other members of staff they all made us feel so at home, the food is fantastic, and Michalis' beer is always cold. It is a very relaxing atmosphere and is a great base to enjoy Santorini, but I would advise car rental, as the busses are not as frequent to the south of the island. The pool is great and the grounds are well maintained. Our room was always clean and we had a great view. Will always recommend.

Local tranquilo, acolhedor e muito familiar. Muita simpatia por parte de todos. Recomendamos a quem gosta de relaxar. Pequeno almoço delicioso. O dono sempre disponível a ajudar. Sempre tudo limpo. Delicioso acordar ao som dos pássaros a cantar.

Michalis is a first-rate host. If you come to Santorini and don’t stay here you will be missing out on something amazing. The incredible breakfast, the pool, the close proximity to the beach, the spectacular landscaping of the hotel is not to be missed. This place will be among the highlights of your trip.

The owners are very hospitable and make you very welcome. They will help you in any way they can. The hotel is clean and tidy. The breakfast is nice and filling. The pool is clean. I would recommend this place to stay. It is only a few minutes walk to the harbour and the beach.

Excellent value for money.we wanted peace and quiet away from the tourist areas of the island.we found it here.We were also looking for a small family owned Greek hotel,breakfast included.We found it here.1=the owners,very approachable,very helpful and full of useful information.Great staff.2=the staff.Anna was a gem with our room which was light,fresh and we saw Sun rise and sun set from our balcony.Room magic.Zenco at breakfast every morning always had a smile on his face.He made breakfast a very relaxing and very enjoyable experience.Great start to day.The hotel has it,s own restaurant which was also a big plus.No spending hours food hunting.Food is good and well priced.There is a little port/ harbour beside us.gets busy with organised boat trips but not for long.Great snack bar on the beach with sun beds and umbrellas,10 to 20 euro.2 very good fish restaurants on the way to the port.try them.we were here for a week.walked into Perissa,6 mile round trip one day and took bus to Fira on another. That is an experience in itself.That was it.We feel refreshed and taking the boat back to Athens tomorrow.We had a great holiday here.Give villa michalis a go.
