We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Gateway Hotel, Vizag. The property is right across the beach and has an amazing view from the restaurant & bar. This property is 30+ yrs old but location is something to die for...Rooms are comfortable, breakfast spread is good. The best thing about this hotel is the Happy Hours which offers BUY1GET1 at Lawson Lounge until 10 pm. The staff is hospitable, they arranged a special table for us overlooking the sea. At the restaurant, staff accommodated our special request for kids food. The best thing I liked about the hotel was it's transparency. Right at the check-out counter, they have placed a placard stating 5% service charge is optional and u can claim it back. Most hotels hide this information while here we have a hotel that is vocal about it...thoroughly loved it! Areas of improvement: Bathrooms are dimly lit, clothes hanging hook is above the toilet seat which makes it unusable. Note: This property does not have a private beach

Good experience , enjoyed a lot, nice family vacation for us enjoyed with kids for 15 th wedding anniversary. Beautiful hotel and courtesy of staff is well. Pool is clean and hygiene.overall very good experience. Must visit any Taj group definitely

must recommended for those visiting visakhapatnam. it has sea view rooms which gives u breathtaking views. during summers we were getting complimentary ***goes everyday. the GAD restaurant had some delectable dishes and specially the coastal thali which is again a recommended one

As soon I booked I received a call from hotel and they informed me that your booking is confirmed and they enquired about my arrival. I was almost near the hotel and right I got down my car I had a warm welcome and the gate keeper was energetic and greeted me and immediately unloaded my luggage. He and an executive guided me to reception. On reception I had a pleasant welcome by the receptionist ***isha and another lady. She - ***isha quickly processed my check in and in no time I was escorted to my room which was as fresh as expected. The food was very delicious and with perfect blend of flavour. The heritage of hotel is well preserved and had very nice feel. Above all the location is amazing the view of sea and sound of dancing waves can be heard and viberations felt in the Restaurent. My checkout was very smooth and a return soon see off is always memorable. I am a frequent traveller and stay at ***y luxury properties. This one will be in my select always. The whole team right from room service / F&B / housekeeping is up to mark. Spa is decent enough with various therapies to offer. Had a good relaxing deep tissue massage for my back and neck pain. Thank you for making my stay comfortable

Worst TAJ hotel. Unhygienic. Terrible food. They must shut down immediately. Staff said they are advised that it will close down in a year. Poor maintenance. Unresponsive staff as they know hotel will be closing soon. Outdated furniture.
